Embleton Spa Hotel is perfectly located in the Northern Lakes, and is situated just off the A66 between the market towns of Cockermouth and Keswick (adventure capital of the UK!). These are only a ten minute drive from the hotel, and even closer is Bassenthwaite Lake, one of the most beautiful in the area.

We are located in the village of Embleton just off the A66. Travelling westwards from Penrith approx 27 miles / 30 minutes drive time from M6 Junction 40. Follow the A66 past Keswick and Bassenthwaite Lake. Then turn right 2 miles after the lake (there is a hotel sign and it is clearly marked for Embleton. Our driveway is 100 metres ahead on the right.

We are also easily accessible by bus and train. The local train station is Penrith, with direct trains from London Euston.  From Penrith there are buses every hour, with the journey taking about an hour through beautiful scenery.

We are on the Penrith-Keswick-Workington bus route, with a bus stop 50 yards from the hotel.  For the bus timetable please see this Bus Timetable.  Our bus stop is ‘Embleton, Wheatsheef’.
