Christmas Eve
Arrive on Christmas Eve to a warm welcome with a glass of Mulled Wine and let the hassle of work fade away. Enjoy mince pies by the fire, or take a dip in the indoor pool before dinner. Our chefs will prepare a delightful 3 course evening meal for you, after which you can relax by the bar and enjoy our Cumbrian hospitality.
Christmas Day
Awake on Christmas day to a hearty Cumbrian breakfast from 9 to 10am. You are welcome to open presents in front of the fire, or if you did that at 6am why not enjoy a short walk up Sale Fell before Lunch.
Pre-lunch drinks will be served in the bar at 1pm, with 5 course Christmas lunch at 1.30pm.
In the evening enjoy drinks in front of a roaring fire followed by a light evening buffet from 7.30pm, build a jigsaw, play board games or relax with a good book.
Boxing Day
Rise to a leisurely breakfast then explore all that the Lake District has to offer. Keswick and Cockermouth are both close by, or for the adventurous head up Skiddaw for fantastic views across the Lake District. There is likely to be snow up there, so please make sure you are well prepared!
Return to the hotel to warm up in the steam room and swim in the pool followed by a 3 course evening meal.
Friday 27th December
Before you depart you have plenty of time to enjoy breakfast, go for a walk on the local fells or enjoy our leisure facilities.

Our chefs will prepare a delightful 5 course evening meal for you accompanied by our selection of wines, sparkling wines and champagnes. Help us celebrate the New Year in style with our DJ until late – the perfect start to your 2025.
New Years Day
Awake on New Years Day to a leisurely Cumbrian breakfast from 9am to 10am. Spend the day relaxing by the fire, shopping in the nearby Keswick and Cockermouth, or follow in the footsteps of Beatrix Potters Mrs Tiggywinkle and walk up Catbells for fantastic views of Derwent Water.
In the evening enjoy the local banter in the bar, a warm fire and a delightful 3 course evening meal.
Thursday 2nd January
Start your day with a full Cumbrian breakfast, then spend the day relaxing, or head off and explore the beautiful Lake District. Return to the hotel in time for a drink by the fire, a swim in our indoor pool and a dip in the hot tub. Enjoy a 3 course meal from our Winter restaurant menu, sample our fine wines and why not treat yourself to a luxury liqueur coffee?
